The Shine Group was created in 2008 as a separate entity to the leading law firm Michael Shine & Partners by the firm’s founders, Michael Shine, Shira Shine and Alon Shine.

DAVID LAHMI

Head of Business Development

Born in France, David studied Business and Economics at Université Paris IX Dauphine and at Bar Ilan University, and has extensive experience of more than 15 years in the Corporate and Private Banking industry.

Prior to joining Shine Global Family Office, David acted as Vice-President at Lombard Odier in Geneva, a leading Swiss private bank dealing with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).

Over the years, David gathered  a vast know-how in creating and building relationships with HNWI and developing new markets worldwide, more specifically in Israel and in Europe.

David has a substantial financial background. He has accumulated many years of experience in Corporate and Investment Banking, having held senior positions in leading European banks, which provided him with a strong basis of understanding businesses in the real economy.

David believes that by obtaining a true understanding of a client enables him to achieve optimal financial and personal results.

YESHAI KAV

Chief Investment Officer

Born in Israel, Yeshai is a Certified Investment Advisor licensed with the Israel Securities Authority, and holds BSc and MBA degrees. Prior to joining MSA, Yeshai held senior investment advisory positions at two leading Israeli banks.

Yeshai specialises in individual client risk and investment profile assessments, strategic asset allocation, and portfolio structuring for High Net Worth family and corporate clients via the identification and analysis of specific client needs and objectives, as well as currency and sector preferences.

The goal first and foremost is to produce tailor-made objectives for each client, on an individual and case by case basis by devising client portfolios with varied ratios of Bonds (Fixed Income), Equities, Metals and Commodities, Derivatives, Alternative Investments and other financial instruments.

Yeshai served at the rank of Commander in the IDF.

SHIRA SHINE

Advocate / Managing Director

Born in Israel, Shira received her LLB (Cum Laude) from Manchester University, UK in 1997. Called to the Israeli Bar in 1999, she chairs the Israeli Bar’s Trust Committee and is also a qualified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP). Shira served in the IDF in the Foreign Forces Liaison Unit.

Since 2005 Shira has been a Partner in Michael Shine & Partners, Law Office, and serves as co-MD of the firm. Specialising in local and international asset protection for private clients and multi-national families, Shira advises High Net Worth families globally, in matters of Trust and Foundation structuring, international tax and estate planning and wealth protection. Shira is the author of numerous articles and chapters in several leading journals and publications.

In her capacity as Family Advisor to multiple global families encompassing two or more generations, Shira leads the Shine Global Family team on the administration and management of Family Foundations and Trusts in multiple jurisdictions, and on all the legal ramifications of asset and wealth management. She liaises actively with our in-house Trust companies on all aspects of Trust formation, acceptance and administration.

MICHAEL SHINE

Advocate / Chairman

Born in the UK, Michael received his LLB from University College London in 1967. He was called to the Israeli Bar in 1970 and to the English Bar at Gray’s Inn in 1972. In 1977 he was admitted as an English Solicitor and has been a Trust and Estates Practitioner since the inception of the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). Between 1968-71, Michael served as the Assistant Legal Counsel for the Jewish Agency for Israel in Jerusalem. He was Associate to Gideon Hausner, former Attorney-General between 1971-75, and in 1976-77 served as Assistant to the Economics Minister at the Israeli Embassy in London.

Michael was a member of the Judicial Commission for the revision of Israel Company Law, the author of a chapter in the Israeli Encyclopaedia of International Trust Law and of numerous articles and chapters in various books, journals and publications.

1978 saw the foundation of Michael Shine & Partners, Law Office. For over 40 years Michael has been a leading specialist in international family wealth management structuring and protection, international banking law and procedures, international tax and estate planning and domestic and commercial management for private clients.

 

ALON SHINE

Advocate / Managing Director

Born in Israel, Alon holds an LLB and a BA in Finance from the Interdisciplinary Centre, Herzliya, Israel. Alon is a qualified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (T.E.P.), was called to the Israeli Bar in 2008 and admitted as a Partner at Michael Shine & Partners, Law Office in 2010.

Alon is a Law and Finance specialist with a particular expertise in Asset Management and Portfolio Planning for Trusts, Foundations, family holding companies and individual private clients. On behalf of our international clients and across multiple jurisdictions, Alon structures financial products, creates bespoke and in-house Funds and deals with all the licensing and regulatory aspects which arise.

Alon advises extensively on the administration and distribution of deceased estates with regard, both domestically and internationally, to the tax and compliance situations for the beneficiaries and any other individuals concerned.

Alon served in an IDF Special Forces Unit during his National Service.
